A project originating in the encounter between Vittorio Alpi and the German designer Konstantin Grcic, whose in-depth knowledge of wood facilitated his exploration of new directions with ALPI, opening wide the horizons of research. Grcic experimented for many months with the R&D department, focusing on the possibility to gradually blend one colour into another and alternate them in a programmed sequence. |  Ettore Sottsass (1917~2007) was an Italian architect and designer. His work included furniture, jewelry, glass, lighting, home and office objects, as well as many buildings and interiors. In 1947, in Milan, he founded his architecture and industrial design studio. He was presented numerous international awards, winning the ADI Compasso d'Oro in 1959. His work is on show in the permanent collections of many museums around the world such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Centre G. Pompidou in Paris, and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. |

Piero Lissoni is architect, art director and designer and is recognized as one of the masters of contemporary design. For over thirty years, he has developed projects the world over in the fields of architecture, landscape and interior, as well as in product and graphic design. He is also art director for Alpi, B&B Italia, Boffi, Living Divani, Lema, Lualdi, Porro and Sanlorenzo. He has received a series of international awards, including the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Award and the Compasso d'Oro ADI |  Alessandro Mendini (1931–2019) is one of the designers who left a significant step in the field of modern industrial design. he worked as an industrial designer and created Proust's chair, Anna G.Alessandro M, Amuleto, and collaborated with world-class companies such as Cartier, Hermes, Swatch, Swarovski, Alessi, Visaza, and Samsung. Until his death he ran his own practice in Milan, the Atelier Mendini, together with his younger brother Francesco Mendini. |

 Matteo Ragni took a degree in Architecture at the Milan Polytechnic. He has worked for many companies, often mixing his activity as a designer with the role of creative director, creating perfectly synchronized systems of communication and production. In 2001, at the age of 29, Matteo Ragni became one of the youngest talents to win a Compasso d’Oro award, with the disposable utensil Moscardino, designed together with Giulio Iacchetti. In 2014 he was assigned a second Compasso d’Oro, again with Giulio Iacchetti, for the design of a series of manhole covers for Montini. | |
